The Winning Ticket
The winning Power 20s ticket was sold at Murphy Express #8779 on Lake Worth Blvd. Texas Lottery officials confirmed the claim in mid-June 2026. The winner opted for the lump-sum cash value rather than the annuity option.
Texas is one of the most winner-friendly states in the country because it has no state income tax on lottery prizes. Winners only pay federal taxes.
Power 20s Game Status
Power 20s is part of Texas’s strong $20+ scratch-off lineup. Texas currently tracks 72 active scratch-off games on Scratchers Paradise. The state’s higher price-point games often deliver better relative value than lower-tier tickets.
The retailer that sold this winning ticket is eligible for a bonus commission from the Texas Lottery.
This claim was the second $1 million top prize awarded in the Power 20s game. With two top prizes still potentially remaining (depending on the exact print run), the game continues to offer meaningful upside for players who enjoy higher-volatility tickets.
Because Texas has no state tax, the net amount winners take home is significantly higher than in most other states. This makes Texas scratch-offs particularly attractive for players focused on maximizing their return on big wins.
Pro tip: Use the Scratchers Paradise Texas rankings to compare Power 20s against other $20 games by expected value and remaining top prizes. The best game shifts as prizes are claimed.
